Pulsenics co-Founder and COO Mariam Awara was selected by industry peers to co-chair the Equipment Makers Committee within NAATBatt, a leading battery industry organization for the United States and Canada. Together with Nick Hennan, Kustan GmbH VP of Global Sales, Mariam will work to advance North American battery manufacturing by gathering and disseminating insights on the state of industrial equipment.
The Equipment Makers Committee lists its charter as:
This community will focus on the companies, processes and know-how involved in manufacturing machinery that makes battery cells, cell components, battery packs and energy materials. The community will discuss the types of machine tools necessary to perform these functions. It will consider policies and economic incentives necessary to encourage the manufacture of battery making equipment in North America.
Mariam commented, “I signed on to co-chair this committee because knowledge isn’t traveling fast enough. Battery manufacturers have a huge burden to scout and vet equipment in a world where technology changes by the day. Our committee can help make this easier and keep our regional industry competitive.”
Pulsenics, which works at the intersection of equipment makers, line system integrators, automation suppliers, and battery manufacturers, is uniquely positioned to help North American battery companies stay at the cutting edge.
Pulsenics recently announced AccelaGrade, a novel EIS-powered battery qualification solution that eliminates quality control bottlenecks. Read more about how AccelaGrade can help with rapid capacity grading and increase throughput.
